The renowned Malayalam scholar M.T Vasudevan Nair is a parton of Dr. Parameswaran Nair's medicine and had done a lot to spread the knowledgeof the effectiveness of the medicine to the public.

The ingredients of 'Agnijith' are kadalivazha kizhangin neer, Kaitha kizhangu, Manjal and ofcourse the secret herb.

MEDICINE HISTORY
Parameswaran Nair first tried the balm while living with a physician to learn medicine in the gurukula tradition. The patient was a three-year-old girl who had suffered extensive burns when she fell into a vessel in which rice gruel was being cooked. All the herbal cures known to local physicians proved ineffective. So he reluctantly asked his teacher if he could try a medicine which he had learnt from his uncle.
To people in kudallur, there is nothing more effective than his balm for burns. Experience has taught them that it can cure deep burns, remove old scars and restore the skin to its orginal form. He learned to make the balm not from his teacher but from one of his uncles. His uncle was not a physician. The villagers believed that he got the formula from a nomadic scholar. A few days before his death he passed on the secret formula to his nephew who is also not inclined to reveal it.
The curative powder of the balm is now an accepted fact in his village. So much so that whenever somebody suffers a burn, the victim is rushed, not to the nearest doctor, but to Parameswaran Nair's residence.
Recently six persons in the village, engaged in an anti-liquor campaign, set fire to cans of country liquor which they had seized. The cans exploded, splattering the boiling liquor on those near by. Some suffered burns on thier faces, others on thier hand and legs and most of them all over thier body. A doctor who examined them first advised they be rushed to kozhikode medical college hospital as the injuries were serious. But they instead went to Parameswaran Nair's residence.
Though the medicine is most effective when it is applied within three days of the accident, there have been instances of even three-year old scars fading with the use of the balm.
